Check out Deptford Goth.
Let’s work our way up. Real Love Fantasy is very pleasant, with a clever use of Mimi‘s lyrics. Youth II is also worth a listen, but I don’t find it overwhelmingly moving. The video is interesting, but I don’t think it enhanced the experience of the song, although I’m not sure I fully wrapped my head around it. (My pre-med side and my creative/poetic side often wind up in direct opposition, so I found it strangely uncomfortable, like I wasn’t sure I was sold on it’s scientific accuracy or it’s poetic merit. I know. Almost too nerd to function.)
Time, on the other hand, is very impressive. It’s so conflicted- the lyrics are by turns heartbroken and resolute in their optimism, so that by time it breaks, “I’m a believer” sounds like a falsetto battle cry.
Last but absolutely not least, the demo of People Get Still absolutely blows me away. It’s so subtle and so powerful, so soothing and incendiary, that for those of us who medicate with music it’s likely to be a source of quiet strength. Don’t miss out.

UPDATE: The video for Union came out 12/10/2012. I quite like it.
